Galileo Connect Launch New Data Centre Project with Former F1 Drivers Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell
September saw the launch of many innovative designs in Singapore. The inaugural Singapore Grand Prix was a major success, with viewers worldwide tuning in to watch the first ever night time race. Simultaneously Galileo Connect launched their latest data centre Project – Jurong Business Park with a dinner hosted by former F1 drivers Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell.
The launch which was held at the Fullerton Hotel saw the gathering of many corporate executives from around Asia Pacific to what was a spectacular event. Martin and Mark provided an entertaining evening with antidotes of the highs and lows they have experienced on the F1 circuit both as drivers and as commentators, as guests gained an insight into many drivers and their teams and the life they lead.
Jurong Business Park will commence construction in 2009, and when completed will have approximately 24,000m_ of net technical space in four purpose designed self contained data centres. The buildings will all provide a first rate specification with power at 15,00 watts per m_ with a Tier 3+ level of resilience.
The development is set in the vicinity of the Jurong East regional centre where significant additional development is planned, this will be centred on the area around Jurong East, known as Jurong Gateway approximately 4km’s to the east. The long term plan involves the building of new homes offices as well as hotels.
