Richard Borton, Consultant
In the late 1980's Richard was Associate Director of Rose Project Services, a management consultancy business delivering property and facilities management consultancy services to large corporate companies undertaking property and business change projects.
His primary function and responsibility was the management of consultancy accounts for two major corporate IT businesses who were undertaking a large number of re-organisational projects worth over £150 million. These projects were spread across a vast range of business functions, real estate, facilities management and information technology groups.
Richard then formed his own practice called Warwick Project Services. Richard was an independent consultant; providing project management services to corporate clients Oracle Corp and Hewlett - Packard, undertaking business restructuring and change projects.
As key consultant to Oracle's EMEA management team Richard was responsible for the control and strategic development of Oracles restructuring and property change projects.
Richard then became Group Operations Director for Global Switch where he was responsible for managing eight data centres located in seven cities internationally, comprising over 2.3 million square feet of data centre space. The property value of this portfolio was in excess of £650 million.
Prior to joining Galileo Connect Richard was head of strategic planning and data centre design for Urbanrange , a property development management company specialising in the provision of services for planning, construction and operation of purpose built data centres.
