Galileo Connect and Technical Real Estate have been appointed joint development partners of the Australian Capital Territory to develop the Canberra Technology City. Canberra Technology city has secured land from the capitals ACT government to develop in excess of 20 Galileo connect data pods to service primary market demand within Australia and to act as a data centre hub for global corporates operating in the Asia Pacific region.

Of particular importance is the efficiency of use of energy. The site is well served with a substantial supply of hydro electric power from the Snowy Mountains as well as on site gas generation with waste heat being reused through absorption chillers as well as other heating requirements. Canberra Technology City will set the environmental standard for the development of next generation data centres.
