- What is method of cooling
- The Datapod is cooled by conventional air and can be supplemented by high density liquid cooling. Chiller options can take the form of cooling towers or package air cooled chillers depending on location
- What is the floor loading
- The ground floor plant area has a point loading of 50 kN/m_, Technical area 15 kN/m_and Office areas 7.5kN/m
- What is the loading capacity of the Goods Lift
- What is the method of fire protection
- The technical area and plant areas are equipped with Inergen fire suppressant and the generator area is protected by high fog mist. A VESDA system is incorporated.
- What type of UPS is provided
- The standard Datapod is equipped with Static UPS (15 min autonomy) although Rotary Hybrid and DRUPS can be provided. This however may affect the Tier rating and cost.
- What is the capacity of diesel storage
- Depending on Tier rating 3 or 4 respectively 2 x 50,000 litre or 2 x 60,000 litre tanks are incorporated. This provides 48 hours back up with four engines running.
- What is method of waterproofing at roof level and how can water ingress be eliminated.
- The roof is laid to fall which eliminated standing water. The finish is that of a double membrane within the construction with chillers being supported by elevated steal platforms.
- What is the method of security
- Security systems tend to be site specific and particular to clients requirements. However, all methods can be adopted from semi to fully hardened facilities.
