M&E Engineering

The commitment to high quality design of the M&E Engineering systems is fundamental to the operation of Galileo Connect's data centres. Great care has been taken to ensure that single points of failure have been designed out, whether at the point of the electrical supply or through to the control systems operating the plant. As part of the M&E design, the selection and specification of plant and equipment has been carefully reviewed in order to procure the best quality components.

Load Densities

A series of load densities are available which are supported by standardised configurations of plant. These range from 1500W/sq.m to 4500W/sq.m. High levels of modularisation of plant arrangements allow critical building blocks to be fitted together to achieve the required load densities and overall power and cooling loads.

Resilience

The Galileo Connect data centres are based on providing the highest 2(N+1) level of resilience wherever possible for major plant coupled with 2N distribution to ensure that all elements are dual supplied from the incoming supply down to cabinet level. Cross links and inter-connectors are provided to minimise the impact of regular maintenance and to ensure the performance under failure scenarios.
